New THINK GREENE business and tourism guide in a mailbox near you

THINK GREENE GuideGreene County residents are the first to see  Greene County Chamber & Development’s newest finished product – THINK GREENE: Greene County Business & Tourism Guide. Five thousand copies of the 36-page, full color guide to business and tourism in the county were mailed this week to every mailing address and business in the county.

The THINK GREENE: Guide highlights the county’s parks, recreation and tourism attractions. “It’s a great reference and reminder for county residents of just how many local choices there are for services, shopping and dining, recreation and entertainment year round,” said Chris Henning, Chamber executive director for events and tourism.

A list of Greene County Chamber members and their contact information is included in the guide. “By patronizing Chamber businesses, you’re supporting our local economy and making even more choices available,” Henning said. “Most Chamber members accept Chamber Bucks, too – another excellent way of keeping local money in circulation locally.”

Additional copies of the THINK GREENE: Guide will be placed in Welcome Centers across the state, sent to businesses considering a move to Greene County, and to people who are considering relocating here.

“It’s not just a reference for us residents. It’s a tool to draw more people. It’s a full color explanation of why we love living here,” Henning said. “We have plenty of extra copies here at the Chamber office. If you want one for a summer visitor, or to send along to college with a son or daughter, or to send to someone you’d love to have as a co-worker or a neighbor, just stop in and pick one up. We’ll be interested in hearing how far away these guides go.”

The GROW GREENE: Guide was compiled by Chamber and Development staff and the volunteer Chamber board. It was published by Big Green Umbrella Media. It will soon be posted to a new and improved Chamber website at www.greenecountyiowa.com
